So when we last left off, Eve had a huge rock on her finger and was a little worried about the future. I mean, her new step-son was only a few year younger than her, and although Darren wasn't old (yet) he was significantly older than her. She hoped he wanted children, because she wanted a lot - at least three. She decided to invite him over to talk it out.

First she laid on the charm... and with all that womanly charm, what man could resist? He confessed he had always wanted more children, but with Darlene's cancer, they were lucky they even had Dirk. He had been spending weeks trying to figure out how to have this very conversation. What a relief.

Darren enrolled in a debt management course and started getting his affairs in order. Because money was tight, they decided on a very small, intimate wedding. They had hoped it would be outside, but there was a terrible thunder storm, so they settled for the living room.

Eve believes in creative expression, so she posed in wedding dress for a few hours while Darren painted to his heart's content.

Meanwhile, Dirk felt confined in his tuxedo.

When Darren moved in, he surprised Eve by not only getting his financial situation in order, he had also sold his house, so along with Dirk he bought mad money. in Eve's mind two words popped up: home remodel! And with that, she added a room for Dirk, added a bathroom onto her bedroom (making it a master suite), extended and remodeled the kitchen and finally bought that computer she'd been saving for!

For months, Dirk and Darren had been fighting about Dirk's desire to express himself. Dirk's preferred style was very different from what his father (and his mother for that matter) would prefer, but Eve talked to Darren and explained that as a teenager, Dirk should be allowed to express himself how he saw fit. What Darren didn't know was that Eve had taken Dirk shopping earlier and he was getting ready to unleash his new style.

Yes those are skinny pants. *dead*

Darren wasn't exactly thrilled, but hey, Dirk hasn't said anything when Darren quit his job and almost ran them into poverty all in the name of creativity!

What a life! Eve was married to the man she loved the most and now she had a son too! But it was time to getting working on those two other kids she and Darren had been talking about.

With the extra money, Darren finally had the laser eye surgery he so desperately needed. Now he could finally get rid of those ugly green glasses. Now that he could see himself clearly, he decided to shape up his facial hair and get some trendy clothes.

A few weeks later, Eve wasn’t feeling so hot and she knew what was up. She had read that exercising through pregnancy made child birth easier, so got her butt in gear and started working out. Meanwhile, Dirk was relaxing before he went to his after school job. Somehow, someway, he totally busted up the tv and decided that annoying Eve would be a perfectly fine distraction before work. While she busted her butt, he shook his and tried out the latest dance moves. Eve was unamused…

Since the wedding, Darren had been on cloud nine. He’d even had these strange desires…to help Eve around the house.

He cooked....

and he paid the bills.

He thought life couldn’t get any better… and then Cassandra showed up at the house.

Nothing like a woman scorned. Even though Cassandra is engaged to some other man, she and Darren were having an affair. As soon as he met Eve, Darren stopped seeing Cassandra. But she couldn’t handle the rejection, and in one of her fits of craziness she actually came to the house. Darren was smart, told her to never come back again and went into the house. Cassandra couldn’t believe it! She paraded around the house for a few hours and then realized it was over. The only reason Eve didn’t notice is because her morning sickness was so bad she spent most of the time day in bed asleep. Otherwise we know there would have been problems!

And then more scandal. Dirk had secretly been seeing Lilith Pleasant.

This was yet another decision Darren would not have approved off. Dirk always waited until his dad got in his painting zone before sneaking out to see his lady love.

He usually got a few hours a night with her. They were madly in love and couldn’t wait to go to college so they could be together freely. Dirk debated telling Eve, he knew she’d be cool with it, but that would mean risking his father finding out and Dirk just didn’t want to deal with the drama.

Unfortunately there was a different kind of drama they would all have to deal with.

I guess someone noticed that the Wilsons were coming up in the world. Fortunately, as part of the house upgrade, Eve installed a super hardcore alarm system. This fool took one step in the house and it was over. As usual, the cops beat his ass…

and then carted his ass to jail, where he would spend the next five years.

crime doesn’t pay kids. stay in school!

after the robbery, everyone turned to their usual copping mechanisms. For Eve, it was books. Darren turned to painting and Dirk turned to cyberland to tell Lilith everything that just happened.

but the sun always shines in the morning. the next day Eve got just the confirmation she needed - a baby bump.
